ABOUT US
Safe Haven Environmental Network was founded by a group of Indoor Environmental Professionals (IEPs) who recognized a major gap in the mold and indoor environmental industry. Too often, homeowners and building owners are left trying to navigate a confusing landscape of inspectors, remediators, HVAC contractors, cleaning teams, duct cleaners, and other specialists—without anyone overseeing the entire process. When facing a mold or environmental issue, determining who to hire and what steps to take can quickly feel overwhelming and difficult to navigate.
The reality is that the mold industry can sometimes feel like the “wild west,” where it can be difficult to know who to trust or how to ensure a project is handled correctly. Even when the right professionals are involved, the lack of coordination and oversight can make successful outcomes difficult to achieve.
We created Safe Haven Environmental Network to change that. Safe Haven Environmental Network was created to bring structure, accountability, and expert oversight to complex mold and indoor environmental projects.
At Safe Haven Environmental Network, we provide independent guidance and project management for mold and indoor environmental quality issues.
We help identify the true source of environmental concerns by coordinating detailed inspections and environmental analysis, ensuring underlying moisture and contamination issues are clearly understood before remediation begins.
Our specialty is working with mold-sensitive clients, so we understand how important it is for remediation to be performed thoroughly and correctly the first time. Because of this, we hold the professionals we work with to a higher standard and carefully oversee the remediation process to help ensure proper protocols are followed.
Once the problem has been clearly identified, we develop science-based remediation strategies and help assemble the right team of professionals to complete the work. Throughout the project, we remain actively involved—coordinating the process, overseeing progress, communicating with contractors, and helping ensure the work is performed according to established industry best practices.
Our role is to advocate for our clients every step of the way. From investigation and planning to remediation oversight and final clearance verification, we manage the process from start to finish so our clients can focus on restoring a safe, healthy indoor environment.

Megan Cunningham
Co-Founder & Director of Operations
Megan is a co-founder of Safe Haven Environmental Network and leads the company’s operations, overseeing client coordination, project logistics, and the systems that keep complex environmental projects running smoothly.
Her path into indoor environmental health began after her family endured a seven-year struggle with mold-related illness, which sparked an intense commitment to understanding mold, remediation, and recovery. That experience developed into a deep passion for helping families navigate confusing mold situations and avoid the costly mistakes that so often occur during remediation.
Megan holds a master’s degree in accounting and is a licensed CPA, and she previously served as a First Lieutenant in the Air National Guard as a Medical Administration Officer. She brings a disciplined, systems-driven approach to supporting families as they work toward restoring safe and healthy indoor environments.
